Description
The iPhone’s new Action Button is a small, easy‑to‑reach button on the side of the phone that lets you quickly perform one helpful task with a single press, making the device simpler for older adults to use. Instead of searching through apps or menus, you can set the button to do something you use often—like turning on the flashlight, opening the camera, silencing the phone during appointments, starting a voice recording, or opening accessibility tools such as the magnifier. Once it’s set up, you simply press and hold the button to activate the feature, reducing steps and making everyday tasks faster, clearer, and more comfortable for seniors.
