 In‑home system (landline or cellular)

1 Choose location: Put the base unit in a central spot with a power outlet (and phone jack if landline).

2. Plug in power: Connect the power cord to the wall and the base—wait for lights to turn on.

3. Connect phone (if landline): Unplug your phone, plug Life Alert into the wall jack, then plug your phone into the Life Alert unit.

4. Put on button: Wear the pendant or wristband at all times.

5. Test the system: Press the help button and confirm you can talk to the dispatcher.

In‑home + wall button system

1. Set up base unit: Follow the same steps as the in‑home system above.

2. Pick wall spots: Choose places like bathroom, near bed, or stairs.

3. Mount buttons: Use the included adhesive or screws to attach wall buttons at chest height.

4. Test each button: Press every wall button to make sure it connects to the monitoring center.

Mobile + GPS

1. Charge (if required): Place the mobile unit in its charger until the indicator shows it’s ready.

2. Wear or carry it: Put it on a lanyard, clip, or keep it in a pocket or bag.

3. Go outside and test: Press the help button outdoors and confirm the dispatcher can hear you and locate you.

4. Keep it with you: Carry it whenever you leave home so it can work with GPS in an emergency.
